What to Do in Baška When It Rains
The Bašćanska ploča deep-dive and alphabet workshop at Jurandvor, plus the konobas — Baška's indoor answers when the beach is a write-off.
Baška is the best-equipped village on the island for a wet day, which is not what its two-kilometre beach would lead you to expect.
The aquarium is the easy answer with children. The harder and more interesting one is the Bašćanska ploča — the Glagolitic tablet found at Jurandvor, just up the valley — which has a museum, a deep-dive session and a family alphabet workshop built around it. All three are indoor and sit-down.
The rest is dinner, which Baška does well for its size. Konoba Forza runs a heritage menu, Cicibela and the daily-catch tuna cover the seafood, and Mošuna sits inland at Draga Bašćanska if you would rather be away from the seafront entirely.
