Things to Do in Krk Town
Eleven things to do in Krk town itself without a car, plus two more out in the municipality that need one.
Krk town is the practical answer to "we have not hired a car". Eleven of the thirteen things listed here are reachable on foot or from the town harbour, which is not true of anywhere else on the island except Malinska.
The old town gives you the cathedral, the medieval city walls walk, and an evening walk through the lanes once the day-trippers have gone. The morning farmers market is free and worth setting an alarm for. From the harbour you can pick up an introduction to scuba diving, a sunset sailing cruise, or a full day trip out to the other Kvarner islands — the three most expensive things on this list, and the three that get you furthest from town.
In between there is an e-bike tour if you want the island without the car, a treasure hunt through the old town that works well with children, sunrise yoga on the beach, and a seafood dinner in the old town when you are done.
Two entries sit outside the town but inside the same municipality, and both need a car: the donkey farm near Pinezići, and the walking trail that starts at Kornić and runs south to Stara Baška. Worth knowing before you plan the day around them.
