What to Do in Omišalj in Winter
Roman ruins, a lake trail and four places to eat — a short winter list, honestly told.
Omišalj has a short winter list and there is no point pretending otherwise.
The Fulfinum Roman ruins are the reason to stop: a genuine Roman settlement on the headland, open, free and better in winter than under August sun. The Lake Jezero nature trail is flat, sheltered and walkable in most weather.
The rest is lunch, and most of it is in Njivice rather than Omišalj town — Rivica's tasting menu and wine pairing, the Krk lamb pizza set. Omišalj town has the daily catch.
If you want more than half a day, Krk Town is about half an hour south and has the island's deepest winter list.
