Krk's flagship sheep-cheese OPG, raising native Krk pramenka sheep on aromatic immortelle pastures and producing a 50+ award-winning cheese line, plus olive oil and a farm-to-table tasting room.

## Geschichte

The Mrakovčić family began with 9 sheep in 1984 and today grazes around 150–320 native Krk pramenka sheep on Helichrysum-italicum (magriž) pastures that lend the cheeses their unmistakable aroma. The farm produces about 5–6 tonnes of cheese per year and has won more than 50 awards, including Gold and Champion of Quality at the 13th and 18th Croatian Sheep & Goat Cheese Exhibitions and a Big Gold at Novi Sad 2017. The Krčki sir was once cited by Croatian state TV as 'sixth-best cheese in the world'.
