# Camp Njivice Beach

> Camp Njivice Beach is a 450-metre pebble strip in front of the FKK Camping Njivice resort north of the village — pine-shaded, clear-water, with the campsite's full amenities open to all visitors. The mix of textile-accepted central section and naturist sections at the ends gives flexibility unusual for Krk's beach landscape.

## About

Camp Njivice Beach runs along the seafront in front of the FKK Camping Njivice resort, on the western coast about 1 km north of central Njivice village. The beach is part of the campsite's facility but fully public — day visitors are welcome alongside camping guests, paying the same lounger rates and using the same amenities.

The shoreline is fine pebble — about 450 metres long and 12 metres wide at average depth — with a uniform pebble seabed and gradual entry. Water clarity is good (visibility 4–6 metres in normal conditions). The bay's western orientation gives full afternoon and evening sun, with mature pines along the back of the beach providing meaningful natural shade for the back third throughout the day.

Facilities are extensive thanks to the campsite: showers and toilets at three locations along the beach; changing rooms; the campsite's main beach bar with light food and drinks; rental sun loungers and umbrellas; and a small playground at the back. Sun-lounger rental runs €10–15 per day for two loungers + umbrella in 2024 prices; the campsite charges a small day-entry fee for non-guests in peak summer (typically €3–5 per adult) covering parking and shower use.

The naturist character of the beach reflects the campsite's FKK identity: the central section is textile-accepted with most visitors clothed; the eastern and western ends are naturist by tradition, observed quietly. Visitors choose their section based on preference; both share the same amenities and water. This mixed setup is unusual on Krk and works well in practice — the consensus among regular visitors is that everyone respects the section conventions.

The pine-shaded back of the beach is the most sought-after spot in midsummer; arrive by 10:00 in August to claim a shaded lounger. The beach bar serves light meals and cold drinks throughout the day; for proper restaurants walk back into Njivice village (10–15 minutes south along the coastal path).

Camp Njivice Beach is the right beach for FKK-curious visitors wanting a flexible textile-or-naturist option, families staying at the campsite (or considering it), and travellers wanting a less-crowded alternative to central Njivice's busy Kijac. It's not the right beach for visitors strongly opposed to naturism in any form — the section conventions work well but everyone shares the same facilities.

The FKK Camping Njivice resort itself is one of the more established naturist campsites on the northern Adriatic, operating since the 1970s and accommodating around 350 pitches plus mobile homes. Many guests are multi-generational repeat visitors, with families returning to the same pitch every summer for decades. This continuity gives the beach a relaxed multi-generational European-naturist feel that first-time visitors often comment on as more comfortable than the more transient atmosphere at standalone naturist beaches like Politin.
