Best Viewpoints on Krk Island

Seven viewpoints across Krk, all free, and four of them worth the drive at any time of year.

Viewpoints are the cheapest good day out on Krk: all seven of these are free, and four are listed as worth visiting in any month, which is more than can be said for most of the island's attractions.

The south holds the high ground. Mount Obzova is the island's own summit walk, Rebica Peak and the Senjsko Bilo sunrise viewpoint both look out over the same stretch of coast, and St. Ivan above Baška is the one you can reach on foot from a town.

The east and north give you a different kind of view. The Vrbnik cliff edge looks straight down from the old town onto the sea, the hilltop views at Dobrinj look inland across the island's quieter half, and the Voz harbour viewpoint faces the bridge and the mainland channel — the view that tells you how Krk is actually attached to the rest of Croatia.

Six of the seven need a car. St. Ivan at Baška is the exception, and it is the one to aim for if you are here without one. Four are marked year-round: Senjsko Bilo, St. Ivan, Dobrinj and Voz.
