Krk in December

Advent in Krk town and Malinska, and a Christmas fair in Omišalj.

December lights up in three places. Krk town runs its Advent programme through the month, Malinska does the same along the waterfront -- lights, music, a frituljada -- and the Omišalj ceramics workshop opens its Christmas and New Year exhibition in the Lapidarij gallery for the first three weeks.

None of it is a tourist event in the summer sense. It is the island doing Christmas for itself, and a visitor who turns up is welcome at it.
