# Krčki karneval

> Krk town's carnival: masks take the town, children's parades on Sundays, and the burning of the pust to close it.

## About

In 2026 the carnival ran from 31 January to 17 February. The flag went up at Vela placa and the mayor handed the keys of the town to master Kek; from then on the carnival tent on the waterfront hosted parties, two children's carnival Sundays, and the Mesopust finale — a children's parade, a brass-band procession and the burning of the pust.

The end date moves with Lent, so check the tourist board each January.
