Nine konobas is the highest count of any town on the island, and several are not in Malinska itself but in the villages behind it — Porat, Sveti Vid-Miholjice, Milovčići. Those are the ones worth the short drive; a konoba inland tends to be cooking for its neighbours rather than for the seafront.

Malinska proper concentrates along the promenade and the Obala, which is where most of the restaurants and all four patisseries are.
