Where to Eat on Krk Island

Konobas, pizzerias and seafront restaurants across Krk, listed by village and by what they cook.

Eating on Krk divides roughly two ways, and it is worth knowing which one you are choosing. A konoba is the older form: a small family kitchen working from a short menu, usually lamb, fish and whatever the garden gave up that week, sometimes with nothing printed at all outside the high season. Restaurants and pizzerias along the seafronts are the other, and in July and August they are what most people actually eat in, because they take bookings and they stay open late.

Browse by village if you already know where you are staying — on an island where dinner often ends in a walk home, that matters more than most guides admit — or by cuisine if you have a particular evening in mind.

Two honest caveats. Opening hours here are seasonal in a way that catches people out: a konoba that is the best meal on the island in August may simply be shut in March, and phoning ahead is normal rather than rude. And a listing on this site is a record that a place exists and where it is. It is not a review. We have not eaten in all of them, and we would rather say so than invent a rating.
