Things to Do on Krk Island

Beaches, trails, viewpoints and village-by-village guides to what is actually worth your time on Krk.

Krk is big enough that "what should we do today?" has a different answer depending on which side of the island you wake up on. The south around Baška is steep and dramatic, with the longest run of hiking trails and the climbing. The north around Malinska and Njivice is gentler and shaded, and most of what there is to do sits within walking distance of the seafront. Krk town itself is the one place where you can fill several days without ever getting into a car.

Start with a village if you already know where you are staying, or with an activity type if you know what you want. Everything listed here is something you can go and do — no bookings we cannot verify, no attractions that turned out to be a car park with a view.

A note on getting around: a good share of the quieter beaches, trails and viewpoints are only realistically reachable by car. Each listing says whether it needs one, so you can plan an honest day rather than discovering the walk in is an hour along a road with no verge.
